HBCU Band Spotlight : Miles College "Purple Marching Machine"

Miles College “Purple Marching Machine” was established in 1949 by Mr. Iva “Bossman” Williams, with only thirty-five members. Since then, the PMM has grown to over 200 members and received raves for its spectacular half-time performances. The band’s high-energy approach to football entertainment, combining exciting drills and dynamic dance routines create excitement at every performance. The current band director is Mr. Willie Snipes, Jr.
